We provide a welcoming and inclusive environment where enthusiasts of all skill levels can come together, share their passion, and improve their shooting abilities.

About our facilities.

Trap.

The most popular activity at our club is American Trap. We run leagues on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from mid-April through mid-October. We host four regional shoots every year in May, June, August and September. We have 9 trap fields available for shooters so there is seldom any waiting and each is equipped with voice pulls for consistency and the convenience of our shooters. We run a regular program of replacing our oldest machines every few years to ensure reliable and consistent performance.

Skeet.

Our club has 2 skeet fields, one of which is able to throw either standard American Skeet targets or wobble skeet. The skeet fields are regularly open to membership and the public for recreational shooting and recently we have been starting to develop a program of competitive league shooting as a means of promoting our skeet offerings.

Sporting Clays.

Our 5 Stand field is overlaid on Skeet Field #2 and utilizes the 2 skeet machines as part of a standard 5 Stand layout. Recent grant funding made it possible for us to purchase 8 new throwers which are battery powered and wireless, allowing more flexibility in placement and target presentations. This has created an opportunity to offer more variety in course layouts. American Field Sporting, Super Sporting and FITASC are examples of layouts we are starting to offer in addition to the traditional 5-Stand layout.

Shooting Hours.

Except for national holidays and weather permitting, the club is open every Sunday from 12:30 to 3:30, sometimes later. During the summer, fall and winter league seasons the club is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 until trap league shooting is completed. Skeet and 5 Stand are available Sundays at 1:00. Additional hours are available by prior arrangement.

Clubhouse.

Our 2300 sf clubhouse was built in 2019. It is fully accessible and provides meeting space, restrooms, office/sales area, a kitchen and a shaded viewing porch to watch the action. The facility provides ample room for our weekend and league night shooters, four large regional shoots each year, large group social and shooting activities and even corporate events.

Find Us.

We are located in the beautiful Black Hills at 9210 Highway 79 South, Rapid City, South Dakota. You can find us 1.6 miles south of the Catron Blvd interchange. We have large accessible parking lots on the east and west ends of the building. Our parking lots and roads are newly graded and gravel surfaced and can accommodate the 150-200 person crowds that attend some of the larger shoots.
